Established in 1981, VRA Academy has over 41 years of experience in the market and trained thousands of professionals in varied fields.

VRA Academy has strong presence in the energy sector in Ghana and Africa through the delivery of competency-based engineering and non-engineering training. Our vision is to be the training Centre of choice in Africa. Professionalism, trust, reliability, quality and hard work are the principles that underline our operations and our main goal is to bridge the competency gaps in the energy sector in Africa.

We achieve this through the design and delivery of quality training solutions in power utility operations and maintenance, energy management, leadership, business, and professional development. The Academy trains more than two thousand (2,000) persons annually.

Our courses are carefully designed to equip participants with the required skills and improve their confidence level thus enabling them to deliver on their organisational mandates. Our certified trainers are ready to ensure participants are able to apply the knowledge and skills they have acquired in real-life situations to get optimum results.

Training curricula are designed to include classroom, hands-on and on the job experience to make learning interactive and exciting for all participants. Our training rooms and laboratories are equipped with modern up to date technology to facilitate learning and skill acquisition.

The Academy is registered with the Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training, regulators of the technical training and education space in Ghana. We are a member of the African Network of Centres of Excellence in Electricity (ANCEE) and have been selected as one of five regional centres of excellence for the West African Power Pool (WAPP), providing customized engineering and non-engineering training to power utilities in the sub region.
